Experience the power of heart-pounding rhythms, sharp synchronisation and high energy, in a spellbinding performance on huge taiko drums, at a selection of local venues in Central Scotland.

Mugenkyo are a South Lanarkshire based performing arts company, internationally renowned for their energetic & theatrical modern style based on traditional Japanese drumming. Their performance history includes 1,000s of concerts at prestigious venues throughout the UK, including in Scotland: Edinburgh Usher Hall, Glasgow Kings Theatre, Dundee Caird Hall, Aberdeen Music Hall, Motherwell Concert Hall, Ayr Gaiety, Kilmarnock Palace Theatre. In 2002 they opened the UK's first Taiko Drumming Centre, and through the years have been featured on various film, TV and recording projects. This year they were filmed for the upcoming blockbuster "Tin Soldier" in Greece alongside Jamie Foxx & Robert DeNiro, performed a 2-week run at the World Expo in Dubai, and last year were featured on the BBC TV Tokyo Olympics programme for the opening big drum sequence.

"Lightning-fast synchronisation & complex rhythms on huge barrel-sized instruments. Hypnotic and primal, the show is an entrancing display of physicality, precision & discipline."
